Gobble Up Gratitude

We’ve just celebrated Thanksgiving … so, if your heart is bursting with gratitude today, keep reading.

Or maybe you faked your way through the festivities, feeling less than grateful these days. If gratitude is hard to come by right now, keep reading. 🤗

This year has been another excruciating one for me, but I can’t argue with the neuroscience about the transformational power of gratitude in every part of our life and leadership.

  • Physical Power: Studies show that gratitude lowers blood pressure, improves sleep, and even strengthens our immune system, so you’ll be happier and more energized.
  • Emotional Energy: Practicing gratitude helps you ground your nervous system, deal with difficult emotions, and right-size your circumstances.
  • Mental Mindsets: A grateful mindset helps you focus on what you want to expand and approach challenges with greater clarity and perspective.
  • Relational Realities: Telling the people in your life what you love and appreciate builds empathy, trust, and deepens your bonds.
  • Spiritual Sanity: Thank God for something beyond my limited capacities and vision!
  • Renewal Resistance: This reminds you that you’re not God and you can’t do everything, so you can rest. “Rest is resistance” is a renewed mantra in this season.

Which benefit do you need most? It’s available to you.

An attitude of gratitude doesn’t take much time, but the benefits eek into every part of your life and leadership, ESPECIALLY when the going gets tough.

When all else fails? Laugh…

I’m so very grateful for you today. You are the reason I keep showing up to do this work. Happy Thanksgiving.
