“I will find a way.”
Recently, I talked with a leader who’s feeling overwhelmed both personally and professionally, but she has a glimmer of hope that another way is possible. She doesn’t know what that way is, but her gut says there’s got to be more.
She’s right.
I believe it in my bones: Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Commitment reflects that there’s something on the other side of your ‘yes’ that will lead you into a level you don’t even know is there…yet.
Your brain needs to see evidence that you’re serious about what you want before it invests energy in building new patterns.
Translation? Commitment precedes the plan.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You need to decide that you’re all in.
As an executive leadership coach, I am NOT about asking leaders to carry more. No way! There’s another way to lead with ease and lightness—where commitment doesn’t mean hustle and grind, it means integration and alignment.
Take a deep breath. In your soul, what are you committed to becoming or doing this year?
No matter what the President does. No matter the diagnosis. No matter the obstacles that come your way (“Not today Satan!”).
That deep commitment in your soul is called “intrinsic motivation”—and it’ll sustain you through challenges without burning you out.
I’ll show you how. I’ve been refining my 6-part framework for the last couple years, and it’s never been more impactful.
