PHYSICAL WHOLENESS

Resources:

Action Steps:

  • Daily drink half your body weight in ounces of water (ex: 200 lbs = 100 oz water)

  • Practice deep breathing exercises when you feel overwhelmed, stressed, or distracted.

  • Limit sugary/caffeinated beverages to 2/day.

  • Move your body at least 3/week to whatever capacity your body is able.

  • Go to bed and get up at the same time daily.

  • Move your body for 5-10 minutes every 60-90 minutes.

EMOTIONAL WHOLENESS

Action Steps:

  • Download the Feelings Wheel and identify your top emotions daily.

  • Share something vulnerable with someone at least 1/week.

  • Create a list of who/what energizes you and de-energizes you. Determine 1-2 changes to increase your energy.

  • Take one risk weekly in any wholeness dimension.

MENTAL WHOLENESS

Action Steps:

  • Connect with Dr. Earl Henslin (see Referrals below).

  • Eliminate multitasking of email with other tasks.

  • Disconnect from work every day with a physical activity (breathing exercise, go for a walk, stretching).

  • Put a “do not disturb” restriction on your phone at specific times every day.

  • Create time limits on social media apps.

  • Create a Top 3 priority list of weekly and daily goals.

SPIRITUAL WHOLENESS

Action Steps:

  • Name ways you experience the presence and pleasure of God in your life and practice something daily.

  • Begin your day writing down 5 things you’re grateful for.

  • Take a day monthly to practice silence and solitude.

  • Create document where you begin articulating what you want and vision for your future.

  • Write down where you find the most meaning in your life. Determine how you can increase that meaning.

RELATIONAL WHOLENESS

Resources:

Action Steps:

  • Deliver cookies to your neighbors with a note containing your contact info, assuring them they can contact you if they ever need anything.

  • For any lack of forgiveness in your life, ask a guide to help you walk through a forgiveness process.

  • Address any unresolved conflict at the level of its seriousness.

  • Schedule a time to hang with a girlfriend in the next 14 days.

  • Plan a date or special time with your significant other.

REST/RECOVERY WHOLENESS

Action Steps:

  • Don’t check work email on day(s) off.

  • Engage one activity that renews your energy on your day off.

  • Practice a 24-day day of rest that renews your body, soul, and spirit.

  • Schedule play (spending time without purpose) weekly.

SEXUAL WHOLENESS

Action Steps:

  • Schedule a 30-minute complementary discovery call with Dr. Celeste Holbrook.

  • Ask your partner for what you want and desire sexually.

  • Touch your body with compassion and affection every day.

  • Set 2 reminders on your phone and pay attention to the sensations in your whole body.

FINANCIAL WHOLENESS

  • Create a budget.

  • Practice an abundance mentality by declaring daily “God is my shepherd, I have everything I need.” (Psalm 23)

Yes, we have trained and certified coaches and spiritual directors, but when it comes to other women’s issues, we want to refer you to the very best in their fields. We’re committed to connecting you with resources and people who will guide you toward wholeness where we aren’t equipped.

THERAPIST: DR. EARL HENSLIN

Dr. Henslin is literally one of the best in the world in the field of traumatic stress and brain health. He does remote therapy, as well as referring to a fabulous network of therapists.

SEXOLOGIST: DR. CELESTE HOLBROOK

Dr. Holbrook helped us develop the sexuality questions in the assessment. She’s a Christian who’s doing transformational work helping women become whole in their sexuality. I’m also a big fan of how she elevates WOC, advocates for the LGBTQ community, and uses the Enneagram in her work. Dr. Holbrook and Ezer + Co. are simpatico for sure!
