You’re Invited: A Birthday Party & A Bigger Vision

🎉 SURPRISE! YOU’RE INVITED TO EZER & CO.’S 6TH BIRTHDAY PARTY, and it’s happening right now! Go ahead and sing us “Happy Birthday”—preferably Stevie Wonder’s version—because this celebration is a big deal. 🥳

If I could go back in time, I’d tell myself this one thing about starting a business from scratch:

💡 It’ll be harder than you can possibly imagine.
And it’ll be more beautiful than you can dream.

Isn’t that true about the most meaningful parts of life?

Before I started Ezer & Co., I didn’t know that…

  • 80% of small businesses fail within the first five years.
  • On our first birthday, a global pandemic would disproportionately impact women.
  • I’d battle a major health crisis over the last two years (mold sucks).
  • Less than 5% of women-owned businesses ever reach $100K in annual revenue—and we’ve done that since Year 1.

I’ve never met a challenge I didn’t accept, but building this company has cost me more than I even realize. And still…

I’m building the most beautiful ecosystem of holistic leadership for women and men. I launched Ezer & Co. on March 15, 2019, during Women’s History Month without the “perfect” business plan, funding, or roadmap the experts said I needed.

Instead, I had a dream and a commitment.

That same week, my daughter Addise—then in 3rd grade—gave a speech for International Women’s Day. She stood up in front of her class and said, “Women are strong and powerful and have always made a difference in this world.”

She was right. You are proof of that.

And on the day I signed our official papers, millions of painted butterflies migrated through SoCal—a rare phenomenon. Watching them flood the sky, I realized: transformation isn’t just a concept. It’s a movement.

I’ve never wanted to build an empire. I’ve always wanted to build an ecosystem.

Because an empire and an ecosystem are not the same.

🚫 An empire is built on dominance—one leader at the top, power consolidated, growth fueled by control. It demands relentless output, often at the expense of those within it. It’s “power over.” And it’s unsustainable.

🌱 An ecosystem is altogether different—leadership is shared, growth is organic, and success is measured by mutual flourishing. It’s “power with.” And it’s holistic.

An empire extracts—an ecosystem nurtures, creating space for everyone to rise, contribute, and sustain something greater together.

Thank you for being part of this ecosystem. It’s my greatest privilege to show up in your inbox, your life, and your leadership.

I’d love to work with you and your team this year. Let’s connect. We’re better than ever, and we’re better together.
