Friend, I’m breaking all the biz rules with this email 😨

Years ago a mentor told me, “most of life is lived in the tension of joy and pain.”  Your life experience probably concurs.

JOYFULLY, while my body has fully nearly recovered from 10 brutal weeks of long-Covid, there’s PAINFUL residual impact. Being human includes the ebbs and flows of seasons like this, holding the joy and pain, letting them move through you. Instead of sitting around and doing nothing, you and I get to make choices and movements through these moments.

When you need help, there are three things YOU GET TO DO to shift the energy and momentum:

📍Be honest that you are ‘here’. Any transformation journey begins with truth-telling about where you are, what’s not working, what you need, and how you’re feeling about it. Wholeness is increased in this present moment when we tell the truth.

👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏼 Ask for HELP, even though it’s hard. Last week I met a supportive friend for lunch and she asked how she could help me. I shrugged, stumbled over my words, and said I was okay, even though I’d just spent 10 minutes describing multiple ways I wasn’t okay. Then, I took a breath and said, “You know what? Here’s something you could do for me…” I felt such a weight lifted when she smiled back and said, “I gotchu.”

🎧 Listen to your longings. What you’re aching for is a signal to move in that direction. UNLESS, what you’re longing for is your comfort zone, status quo, or going back to what was…nope, those won’t serve your whole self.

Practically, here’s how I get do to these 3 things with you right now… I’m sure I’m breaking all kinds of business rules, but I don’t want Ezer + Co. to be built like most companies. I trust you to rise to meet us here. And I’m committed to practice what I preach in every way.

📍Be Honest that I’m ‘here’. As a small business, being sick for 10-weeks almost closed down Ezer + Co. It was both a nightmare not to be able to grow the business and a miracle we survived. (Most small businesses don’t have enough savings to weather a storm like this on the heels of a global pandemic.) But the domino effect of not being able to work during most of Q2 had nearly devastating financial impact. We’ve hit a low point and can’t continue unless things change.

👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏼 Ask for HELP, even though it’s hard. There are a bunch of ways you can be a supportive friend to Ezer + Co., but it boils down to this: share Ezer + Co. with a friend and hire us. Here’s specific ways:

🎧 Listen to your longings. I long to

  • help 100 women connect to our membership community THIS YEAR.
  • have 40 women in coaching groups this fall.
  • build the most diverse and inclusive community you’ve ever experienced.
  • see women breaking barriers internally and externally.
  • see men partner with us more holistically and equitably.
  • work with executive leaders to change the culture and capacity of their own leadership and teams.
  • train more leaders to live and lead with wholeness.

Getting so sick was devastating, but it also revealed more deeply what I long to build!

Would you help us breakthrough this barrier?

If you believe in me and our mission, now would be the best time to help us move forward.

Being honest about needing help, doesn’t make you weak, stupid, foolish, incompetent, or less than. It makes you human.

Asking for help is one of the bravest things you can do.

Listening to your longings guides you more into your whole self.

If you need help right now, shoot me a quick reply and let me know how I can pray for you and hold you in this season. 🧡 We belong to one another.
